Description: The Chamomile German plant is an annual, reaching up to 60cm in height. From May to August it flowers, sporting top-heavy flower heads with a fragrance similar to apples.
Color: Bluish green to deep blue liquid.
Common Uses: German Chamomile contains azulene, which gives the oil a deep blue color. This blue crystal is not actually present in the plant itself, but forms in the oil. The quality of the oil is generally graded by its azulene content, and a good quality oil will contain between 4.5 - 5%.
Aromatic Scent: Chamomile German Essential Oil has a sweet scent like apples and straw.
History: Derived from the Greek word meaning 'ground apple', it was a plant of many uses. To the Egyptians it was a herb dedicated to both the sun and moon, and was considered to have many healing abilities.
Cautions: May trigger a reaction in those who suffer from hay fever or have allergies to grass; a skin test should be performed before use. It should be avoided during pregnancy.

Rating: Oh my goodness, I love this oil. It smells wonderful. I've added a few drops in my homemade face serum and cream, and am loving the results. Will definitely be ordering this one again!

Rating: I love the oil - my biggest difficulty is getting the product out of the bottle! The orifice reducer somehow just does not allow the oil to flow. It is definitely a thick substance, so I am aware that it will be a bit more challenging than most other oils, but my patience is just not great with this issue.
Any one with ideas and suggestions on this problem - would love to hear from you.
I may transfer it into a bottle with an eye dropper in it.

Rating: After reading all the health benefits, I wanted to give this a try. I'm very pleased with it in my aromatherapy and therapeutic blends so far. Also, the scent is not that sickeningly-sweet chamomile tea scent that I dislike, but rather a light straw-like scent - much better. I also realized it's pretty much the same stuff I used as a soothing, anti-inflammatory in a sugaring kit I purchased a while ago (though it was labelled as azulene oil in the kit). I wish it was less expensive, but am glad for the 3% dilution, so I could try it. I'll likely try this in a few other applications, but use it sparingly, but will buy it again when I run out.

Rating: This is probably my favorite EO so far. Even as a dilution it is not disappointing! I like to use it in my bath and plan on using it in my M&P soap soon!

Rating: I really wanted to buy Roman Chamomile but it was too pricey for me at the time. I am so glad I found this blue variety in the dilution section. It is amazing. Very calming and not disappointing in the dilution. I don't think I would go back to Roman Chamomile, and would definitely buy this EO undiluted.

Rating: A must in my humidifier when suffering from insomnia. It gives relief for my dry skin when I put it in moisturizers or toners.

Rating: I didn't know what to expect with the German Chamomile, purchased this dilution based on Jacqueline and Lisa Marie's reviews. This oil does not disappoint, it doesn't have the chamomile tea scent more medicinal but once mixed with other nourishing e.o's or dilutions, like Neroli, you hardly smell it but you get the great benefits of the azulene content.
Rating: After using the Oil Cleansing Method on my face for a few months, my formerly oily skin started drying out and becoming flaky, red, bumpy, and really sensitive, especially around the nose, chin, and forehead. Though I stopped the OCM and switched to a cream cleanser and gentle facial oils, the condition didn't improve and I worried that I'd triggered a rosacea reaction due to the daily steaming of OCM - my skin was slightly sensitive to begin with, and all the symptoms fit. Anyway, after reading the reviews here I ordered this oil and have been using it as-is on my skin at bedtime for almost a week now. It's too early to call it a cure, but I like what I'm seeing. My face feels soothed and the skin looks much smoother. The flakes and bumps are already barely there, and lessen every day. Thanks for this awesome oil, and thanks Lisa Maria for the informative review!
Rating: I used this oil to help with my rosacea. I just started it one week ago so I will keep you all posted BUT I must say, people jave not stopped commenting on my radiant skin, how INCREDIBLY soft it is when they give me a hello peck on the cheek, how amazing my skin looks and all that I have done differently this week is add the German Chamomile dilute, I feel like my skin is silk. I just turned 43 this week, and I have the skin of a well maintained 20 year old. I JUST LOVE IT!!!!!!!! Awesome. No greasyness no pimples, just soft luminious skin. Thank you NDA!!! Great Price as always and exceptional quality!
Rating: At first, I wasn't sure what to expect. I had purchased Chamomile essential oil from a local health store and it stank to the high heavens - even when I diluted it several times. I was pleasantly surprised by this one. It's not exactly the 'chamomile tea' scent one associates with chamomile. It does have a straw-like scent, but not as sweet as I had expected. Still, for the little amount you actually need per usage in a carrier oil, this is definitely worth it. When my budget allows it, I will have to try the chamomile essential oils to see what they're like.
