Kaolin Facial Scrub Superfine
Multani Mitti (Fullers Earth) Clay
French Clay - Green
Product Rating: 4.8/5 (As per 26 Customer Reviews)
French Green Clay comes from the sedimentation of Silico-aluminum, its coloring the result of the oxides contained in these rocks. Its unique composition includes Iron, Silica, Aluminum, Magnesium, Calcium, Titanium, Sodium and Potassium. French Green Clay is prepared for the commercial market by a process of sun-drying and crushing. After the clay has been mined, it is spread in the sun to remove excess water. It is then ground by large hydraulic crushers and micronized, or finely pulverized. The last stage in the process is a final period of sun-drying to remove the last traces of water.
Appearance: Light green colored powder.
Benefits: French Green Clay absorbs and removes impurities from the skin, revealing the fresh surface of the skin to provide a healthy looking glow. When prepared as a mask, the clay dries on the skin causing pores to tighten and the skin starts to feel firm, toned and refreshed. French Green Clay can be used in mineral baths to promote relaxation of the body and a sense of well-being. It is suitable for all skin types.
Application: French Green Clay can be used in body wraps, soap making, face masks, mineral based or cream based cleansers, face or body scrubs, cosmetics and facial powders.
Directions for Use: 5-100% in skin-care products, 1 T. / 15ml per lb. / 500g of soap.
Caution: Caution should be exercised as clays may stain fabric.
Simple Face Mask Recipe:
Combine 1 tbsp of clays to 2 tbsp of water to form a paste and apply to the skin. Leave for about 10 minutes and wash off with warm water. Floral water or aloe vera gel juice can be substituted for water.

Rating: It looks great in my matcha-powder MP soap. Even the darkest matcha fades to much paler within minutes of hardening. The clay gives it more staying power. Can't wait to try the clay in a facial mask!
Rating: Found this clay great for oily skin! Very soft to the touch and has no odour. I use it in my Shea butter base MP soap, it gives a nice light green hint to it. Doesn't bring down the lather either!
Rating: New at Soapmaking, I love using this in my MP soap! Gives the shea butter base a beautiful pink color! Gentle on the skin - many have told me their skin/hands are softer when using the shea butter pink clay soap! Very soft to the touch, and has no odor.
Rating: Love this clay! For a simple and quick face mask, I make it into a paste with witch hazel or water with a drop of EO. The result is soft smooth skin! I have also put it into CP soap with great results.

Rating: Very nice clay (I use this in a facial cleanser that I make) and I find I like the best in all the clays (for my own self) that I've played around with.
In CP Soap, the colour is pale - but looks lovely.

Rating: A lovely shade of pale green in my cp soap. I used lemongrass EO to go with it. Lovely!
Rating: the colour is much lighter than the picture they provide.
other than that it works pretty ok with my cp soap.

Rating: Mixes well with seaweed powder for masks. I've used it in sugar scrubs, and baths. I love the way my skin glows :)

Rating: This is my first clay. It's very supple and very tight once it dries out. I take it for an hour with some floral water and feel very energized afterwards. Also the slight aroma is the one that I find when I go to pickup an order from the NDA's warehouse so it must be popular there.

Rating: Second review on this product. After a knee injury I made a poultice with this clay and left it there for 2 hours. I did this 2 days in a row and the results were amazing! The swelling was seriously reduced and my leg felt so much better. Yeah it's a little messy and a bit of work to wrap it properly but it's all worth it when it comes yo your health.

Rating: Fantastic at drawing out impurities. I use rose floral water instead of regular water to formulate the paste for an added benefit. Great product!

Rating: I've done a few face masks with this clay, using aloe vera juice as the liquid, and scenting with various essential oils. I'm not very experienced with clay masks, but it makes a nice mask that isn't too drying. I've even done masks with children, which was really fun and generated a lot of laughs as the clay dried. Thanks for packaging it in a jar, it's really easy to scoop out without getting gigantic 'poofs' of dry clay in your face!

Rating: Great clay! Been using it for a week (every other day) either as a mask or as a cleanser and I can see my skin is silky smooth. And I love that super clean feeling!

Rating: This clay is a great addition to some of my cp soaps; this was the first time I've bought clay from NDA and I really appreciated that it came in a plastic jar - SO much easier to work with than the plastic bags of clay I've received from other suppliers.

Rating: French Green Clay is quite popular and I can see why! It leaves the skin clean and tingly but not in an irritated way and replenishes minerals, plus it has a lovely green hue! I am using it in my CP soap with beer for an awesome body cleanser and shampoo bar. Two birds with one stone!

Rating: This is the first clay I tried, and although I am going to buy more clays (for masks and soapmaking) I stand by this clay as the best clay for all skin types. I have combination skin, and this clay is just magic to my face - it's cleansing yet balancing and after washing it off, skin looks healthy and feels wonderful.

Rating: I am a first time buyer of green clay from New Directions. I use it as cleanser (with honey and essential oils) and as facial mask. It is an excellent product - very fine and very cleansing/detoxifying. I can feel a dramitic difference after using it.
