FEATURES AND BENEFITS
Gentle, Plant-Based Emollient: Sunflower Lecithin is a natural phospholipid rich in essential fatty acids that mimic the skin’s sebum, helping to soften the skin and prolong moisture retention. Recommended for delivering lasting hydration to extremely dry, rough, or chapped skin and lips.
Effective Emulsifier: As a functional emulsifying agent, Sunflower Lecithin helps bind oil- and water-based ingredients together to improve formulation stability and texture. The result is a richer, more luxurious glide in creams, lotions, body butters, and foundations.
Scalp and Hair Conditioning: Increasingly popular in hair care formulations, Sunflower Lecithin alleviates tight, itchy scalps while treating dryness and brittleness along the hair shaft. Its antioxidant content provides protection from environmental stressors for smoother, more manageable strands.
Multipurpose Beauty Ingredient: Suitable for skin care, hair care, and cosmetics, Sunflower Lecithin acts as an emollient, emulsifier, texture enhancer, and conditioning agent. It’s abundance of beautifying and practical properties makes it a valuable ingredient for modern formulations.
DESCRIPTION
Naturally occurring in many living organisms, our Lecithin is a non-modified, non-fractionated, and 100% pure fatty substance extracted from sunflower seeds. It is a fundamental raw material in formulation development and is found in many skincare, haircare, and cosmetic products on the market since it acts as an emulsifier, emollient, stabilizer, and moisturizer while enhancing the efficacy of existing ingredients.
On a functional level, Sunflower Lecithin reduces surface tension between two immiscible liquid phases, most commonly oil and water, resulting in a stable formula with seamless spreadability and a smooth, creamy texture. Sunflower Lecithin is also a highly effective emollient that is rich in essential fatty acids, including Linoleic Acid, as well as phosphatidylcholine, a nutrient that plays a role in cell regeneration and repair. When applied topically, it is believed to replenish dryness, support moisture retention, maintain skin barrier function, promote skin renewal, reduce frizz, and impart a natural shine to hair.
Sunflower Lecithin is a gentle, non-irritating, and sustainable ingredient that is safe enough for use on all skin types. Achieve beautiful, youthful results with ease and efficiency by adding this multifunctional raw material to lotions, creams, serums, shampoos, conditioners, treatments, and leave-in products.
DIRECTIONS & SUGGESTED USAGE
Naturally Nourishing Skin Care: In creams, lotions, serums, balms, and lip care products, use Sunflower Lecithin at 0.5–5% to impart a rich texture while enhancing emollience, improving barrier support, and long-lasting hydration.
Cosmetic Product Development: Sunflower Lecithin can also suitable in color cosmetics such as foundations, bases, lip products, and eye shadows at 0.5–5% for optimal texture and ingredient cohesion.
Hair and Scalp Care: In shampoos, conditioners, masks, and scalp treatments, add 0.5–5% to reduce dryness and brittleness while improving softness and manageability.
