Product Abstract: The Salvia lavandulifolia is an evergreen shrub that is part of the Lamiaceae family. It grows up to a height of 0.3 m by 0.5 m. Originating in Spain, this variety of Sage is also grown in South France and Northwest Africa. This crop thrives best in light (sandy) and medium (loamy) soil types and is often found growing alongside Lavender and Rosemary. Salvia lavandulifolia possesses pale purple flowers that are reminiscent of Lavender, and its herbaceous tones have a Rosemary-type quality in scent. Abundant sunlight is required when growing Spanish Sage, for it does not grow well in shade.
Spanish Sage Oil has a soothing and uplifting aroma that is ideal for diffusing in office and work spaces. It can also be used as part of a natural skin care routine diluted in a carrier oil, or blended into cleansers, soaps, serums, and lotions.
Cautions: Do not use if under the care of a health practitioner; an oral toxin, this is for external use only. Dilute well before use; may cause skin irritation in some individuals; a skin test is recommended prior to use. Contact with the eyes should be avoided.
Storage: It is recommended that oils packaged in metal containers (for safe shipping) be transferred into dark glass containers to maintain freshness and attain maximum shelf life.
