Product Abstract: Ho Wood Essential Oil has recently been used as a replacement for Rosewood Essential Oil because of its similar chemical properties and applications. Previously used for sword and knife handles because it would not scratch the fine blades, Ho Wood became more popular in 1985 when a major explosion at a linalool-producing facility greatly decreased the available supply, which launched Ho Wood as a natural and sustainable replacement. Locally referred to as Shiu Oil, it is commonly broken for its aromatic constituents.
Cautions: Dilute before use; for external use only. May cause skin irritation in some individuals; a skin test is recommended prior to use. Contact with eyes should be avoided.
Storage: It is recommended that oils packaged in metal containers (for safe shipping), be transferred into dark glass containers to maintain freshness and attain maximum shelf life.

Rating: Love this product - beautiful to blend with. I use it to tone down the rose scent in my products as I use a lot of rose for the wrinkle reducing properties. This turns it from too floral to just right in my books. I also love it blended with citrus scents as it rounds them out beautifully.

Rating: I love Ho Wood EO. It has a unique and lovely woody scent that is not overpowering. I used it in a blend for my teenage grandson and the whole family wanted one! Thank you NDA for this beautiful oil.

Rating: This is an interesting oil! I haven't had much chance to try its therapeutic properties, but I just had to write a review for the scent! I've been mixing it with various oils to try different blends - oils like white grapefruit and neroli and coriander seed - and ho wood seems to always give everything a note of... CANDY! As I type this, I'm sitting here smelling like candy hearts. Is that just bananas or what?

Rating: I love this. I actually use this as a component of two different remedy mixtures.
First for stopping the itch of mosquito bites and
Second for acne break-out.
Love it, the properties are great for both and the scent is nice too.
Rating: I absolutely love this scent! One of my personal favorites.

Rating: I made cp soap with this as the scent back in September 2007 and the scent is still just as strong in the soap that is still sitting here in storage. Some scents fade but this one has stayed very well.
