The following report contains updates on the current trends in production and availability of the most in-demand Essential Oils and Carrier Oils sourced from around the globe.

Jasmine Grandiflorum Absolute

Jasmine Grandiflorum is an exotic and beautiful flower that blooms in India in the early mornings. This crop grows best in red laterite soil, but it can also be cultivated in any type of soil that does not include clay. Tropical and subtropical weather conditions are ideal for Jasmine Grandiflorum to thrive. This year, the climate conditions for Jasmine Grandiflorum were not ideal due to the continuous rains and severe droughts during its harvest season. The projected harvest yield is lower compared to that of previous year.

Since the beginning of Grandiflorum season, the crop prices have skyrocketed and are currently tracking at more than 40% over previous years. The price is not expected to decrease anytime soon. Demand is also expected to increase, and the supply will be tight.

Chamomile German Essential Oil (Bulgaria)

Chamomile German Essential Oil is steam distilled from the flowers of the Matricaria recutita grown in Bulgaria. It possesses a distinct herbaceous scent balanced by a subtly sweet undertone. Harvesting Chamomile German takes place in July with hot weather and adequate rainfall. Black fertile soil is suitable for growing the crop. The current growing conditions for Chamomile Germain is more rainy than normal, and the projected harvest yield is expected to be the same as that of previous year. The market demand is high for Chamomile German Essential Oil, and the market conditions are normal.

Chamomile Roman Essential Oil (China)

Chamomile Roman Essential Oil is steam distilled from the flowers of the Anthemis nobilis grown in China. It is known for its sweet yet strong aroma that is reminiscent of green apples. A low growing evergreen perennial, this crop thrives best in full sunshine with occasional partial shade and minimal rainfall and can grow in mildly alkaline to very alkaline soils. This year's projected harvest yield is notably lower than that of previous year since price levels are dropping and farmers are losing interest. The market demand remains at a steady level.

Patchouli Essential Oil

One of our most popular essential oils, Patchouli is steam distilled from the leaves of the Pogostemon cablin herb grown in Indonesia and is available in light and dark varieties. Patchouli is harvested during the dry season between June and September. The crop typically is ready to be harvested around 4-6 months after planting and can then be harvested regularly every 3-4 months. Patchouli grows well in low altitude areas 800-1000m above sea level with a warm and humid climate. The crop can also thrive in heavy and evenly distributed rainfall during the year. Patchouli is a demanding plant and will absorb all the nutrients in the soil. Once the nutrients are depleted, the crop needs to be planted in another area.

This year's projected harvest yield is lower than that of previous years due to the intensely heavy rainfall in Sulawesi, the major cultivation area. The demand is relatively stable and the price is at a sustainable level for farmers to work. However, recently, the overall output of Patchouli Oil is decreasing due to the heavy rainfall.

Camellia Seed Carrier Oil - RBD - Verified by ECOCERT/ Cosmos Approved

Camellia Seed Carrier Oil is cold pressed from the seeds of the Camellia oleifera flower grown in China. Harvesting begins in early November and lasts until the end of December. This wild flower grows on the mountains where the climate is mild and where sunlight, rain, and fertile land is abundant. The mountains are also ideal for growing the Camellia oleifera crop because the air, soil, and water are free of any pollution. Camellia seeds thrive best in acidic red or red-yellow soil that is fertile, and in warm and humid climate.

The projected harvest yield for Camellia Seed Carrier Oil is higher compared to that of last year. Typically, if Camellia oleifera is harvested this year, then next year's harvest yield is expected to be lower. The demand and market conditions for this carrier oil has been increasing since its uses are versatile and vast.

Flax Seed Organic Carrier Oil

Flax Seed Organic Carrier Oil is cold pressed from the seeds of the Linum usitatissimum grown in China. This rich emollient is unrefined and is known for its high levels of Essential Fatty Acids, Vitamin E, Vitamin B, and minerals. Harvest begins in October when the climate is expected to have both cool and humid periods. Flax seeds thrive best in slightly acidic or neutral soil that is loose and fertile.

The current growing conditions for Flax Seed Carrier Oil are favorable, and the projected harvest yield is expected to remain around the same levels as last year. The market demand and market conditions are also stable.

Wheat Germ Carrier Oil – RBDW

Wheat Germ Carrier Oil is known for its rich profile of Vitamins, Proteins, and Lecithin, an antioxidant that acts as a natural preservative when added to other carrier oils. Wheat Germ Oil is extracted using the solvent method from the wheat of the Triticum aestivum grown in France. A crop that is harvested year-round, wheat germ grows easily in many soil types that are well drained. The ideal weather conditions include moderate temperatures, plenty of sunshine, and some annual rainfall. Currently, drought is causing some issues with cultivation, and the projected harvest yield for Wheat Germ Oil is lower than that of last year. The market demand is decreasing, while prices are increasing due to the low supply.
