Aromatic Summary / Note / Strength of Aroma: A middle note with a medium aroma, Black Pepper Essential Oil has a sharp, spicy scent faintly reminiscent of Clove.
Product Abstract: This climbing woody vine uses trees or other supports to grow to about twenty feet high, but is normally kept to about 12 feet for commercial purposes and has a lifespan of about twenty years. The word 'pepper' is derived from the Latin word piper, which was taken from the Sanskrit word pippali. It has been by the Greeks and Romans. The Turks levied a tax on pepper, while during the Middle Ages the Dutch, the French and the Portuguese often went to war to fight over this lucrative trade with the Far East.
Cautions: Dilute well before use; for external use only. Using too much of this oil could over-stimulate the kidneys. May cause skin irritation in some individuals; a skin test is recommended prior to use. Contact with eyes should be avoided.
Storage: It is recommended that oils packaged in metal containers (for safe shipping) be transferred into dark glass containers to maintain freshness and attain maximum shelf life.

Rating: This essential oil is a marvel. I generally blend it with lavender for my soaps. I will try to find other blends. It is really worth the value. This oil is totally affordable and it is a treasure!

Rating: I use this essential oil in my preparation for cold feet. It warms up nicely and leaves a pleasant smell when mixed with other oils.
Rating: This is one of my favorite scents. Its warm, invigorating and powerful. It makes a great addition to my mint/cinnamon muscle rub in small amounts. My biggest problem is that this oil invariably eats through the bottles lid VERY quickly, and then evaporates. I have to check it for fine cracks & replace the lid regularly or all the oil will all evaporate away! (Yes, im storing it upright)
Rating: A great spicy oil. I have used it in a muscle rub and so far love it!

Rating: When you smell that one at first you can't beleive it... that is the whole goodness of pepper aroma without the stignyness. I admit I was a little shy to smell it with the "official technique" that is opening the cap and smelling the content from close to far in both nostrils.
This oil is so thin and pure, it's a wonder, I'm so curious to try the organic kind to see the difference, in my experience this is very hard to beat !
It has a medium penetrating odor, very volatile, from a little distance it shows its full spice character as it disapears with a trail of stimulating sensation. Then with some distance it smells fresh and jungly ; rich and damp green undertones.
Rating: Smells exquisite. A beautiful spicy addition to natural perfumes.
