Rating: My favorite of all the cedar EOs. This one is very similar to Texas Cedarwood but smoother and rounder. It's an aroma that I could smell all day and never get tired of it. It reminds me of a walk in the woods. Mix that with NDA's black spruce EO and it will bring you to forest heaven without the mosquitoes and the black flies that goes in your eyes. Wonderful smell.

Rating: This is probably my favourite blending oil. It works with so many different combinations, from lavender to vanilla and everything in between, it seems. It adds a lot of depth to a scent blend without being overpowering in any way. A definite keeper.

Rating: I love this eo and won't be without it. I diffuse it and make cp soap with it. I find the scent calming and warm. Very much like a traditional cedar lined chest.
Rating: Serious smoky aroma. Not my favourite of the cedars. Tried blending it for a room spray, and it obliterated the other EOs. I couldn't tolerate diffusing it. Perhaps I might like it in a soap or balm. My husband is attracted to it.

Rating: What's the flash point? I'm trying to use it in candle making and the throw seems non-existent. Does it have a lower flash point than most cedars?
Rating: Smells good in the bottle, very hope-chest-ish. This is the second strongest of the Cedarwoods I tried (Himalayan, Atlas Organic, Texan). Note it is a Juniper, along with the Texan, and they smell quite different than the Himalayan and Atlas. Diffused - smells Horrid - like locker-room B.O. For Diffusion I highly recommend the himalayan and atlas.

Rating: Smells sort of like the eastern cedar we have in Quebec, but deeper and smokier. While I would like the cedarwood oil from the trees I'm more familiar with, it's lovely and deep. With ylang-ylang extra, will be something reaaaaaally nice.

Rating: I love the smell of this oil - it is so relaxing and soothing. To me it smells just like fresh cut cedar-wood.

Rating: smells smoother than the other cedarwoods I tried(himalayan, atlas) and sometimes you can wear everyday since it seems colourless but definitelly not as therapeautic than those others. Not astringent and just not as strong but there is a reason why it's there.

Rating: Great woodsy aroma. It smells like the cedar forests here on the West Coast, without the harsh Christmas tree scent some other Cedarwood EO's have. Lovely to blend, I use it with my Lavender, Bergamot and Ylang Ylang to balance everything out.

Rating: This oil smells like walking through the woods. I have used it in facial washes and soap. I'm going to keep experimenting with it to see how I can make interesting blends with other EOs.

Also known as Bedford Cedarwood Oil, Eastern Red Cedar, Red Cedar, Southern Red Cedar. Closely related to the East African Cedarwood, Juniperus procea.
