Main Constituents: Cedrol: 20-35% Thujopsene: 25-50%
Its constituent, cedrol, may cause the oil to crystallize. The melting point of cedrol is 86º Celsius, so by gently heating crystalized oil, the cedrol liquefies and its solubility is improved for a period of time. It may re-crystallize again in cooler temperatures.

Rating: This oil is exactly what I was looking for. I really like Cedarwood Virginian, but cedarwoods in general can make me a bit nauseous. I wanted to find one I could tolerate better and this oil is that. It's a bit smokey and rather deep. The oil itself is clear but viscous. The scent is somehow "compact" and snaps you into the present moment while grounding you. I can't wait to try it in blends and fragrances!

Rating: I used this oil to create my Man Cave candle, and it is one of my top sellers. I have only received good reviews. It's cozy but fresh, and really just reminds me of an autumn weekend at the cottage or an evening hike.
Rating: Very smokey, quite intense! Too strong on its own, needs to be mixed with something else! I did 2/3 eucalyptus and 1/3 cedarwood in melt & pour soap and got a nice "man" scent (however, my target group is mainly women)! If you know what to do with this scent, I think it can be an absolute hit! But if you just want to try it out as I did, this may collect dust on your shelf for some time...

Rating: A lovely, woodsy scent with a great price! I include it in my oil cleanser with lavender and orange. I'd like to try the other cedarwood oils to compare, but so far I've only tried this one and it's great!

Rating: Absolutely love this eo! So true to its description and I love blending it with so many earthy favourites.
Rating: A very intence cedar scent, almost too strong on its own unless someone likes the smell of cedarwood. A very good price and a bottle lasts a long time. Thanks New Direction!

Rating: Beautiful aroma. The typical cedar smell that I was expecting. Very similar to Virginian Cedar but stronger. Very intoxicating smell and can't get enough of it. This oil last longer as it takes more time to evaporate.

Rating: I love the spring time scent of fresh cedar mulch being spread under all the trees in our yard. Well they bottled it up right here! I prefer this Cedarwood to all the others I have as well in my collection. It contains the same therapeutic properties but has a strong, clear cedar scent.
I use it to calm the dog during a thunderstorm by adding one or two drops to his collar (on the side NOT touching his neck) or diffuse it in the bedroom when we've had a long or tough day. Cedar woods has so many uses but those are the two main uses in our house. Very calming, very woody scent. A little goes a very long way.
If I could give this one higher than 5 stars, I would.

Rating: Exceptional quality at an exceptional price!! A friend of mine gave me some oils including this one as a gift from here and I just had to purchase it for myself. The quality and the price point is just outstanding! Will be purchasing more from NDA! Keep up the good quality and the low prices and you'll have me and my family as life Long costumers!
Rating: Smells good in the bottle, very hope-chest-ish. This is the strongest of the Cedarwoods I tried (Himalayan, Atlas Organic, Virginian). Note it is a Juniper, along with the Virginian, and they smell quite different than the Himalayan and Atlas. Diffused - smells Horrid - like locker-room B.O. For Diffusion I highly recommend the himalayan and atlas.

Rating: Another great essential oil from New Directions Aromatics. Cedarwood is one of my least favourite scents mainly because it never quite smells like expect. It's usually dustier smelling and doesn't capture that fresh cut quality. As another reviewer noted, this one is really a juniper. If you are familiar with juniper, you might notice that quality immediately. However, I still smell cedar quite strongly here but mixed with that juniper quality, it mimics the smell of a hope chest more closely. Fresh, pleasantly strong but not overpowering. I know I can make good use of this oil.

Rating: This is the first one I tried of the cedarwood and I must say I really like great in aftershave lotion

Rating: So many kinds of cedar to try... This one is the first one that I tried and it's not exactly what I was expecting. It's not a strong scent and you'll need a lot to perfume your soaps.

Rating: I had some challenges deciding on the right Cedarwood and am delighted that I finally settled on Cedarwood Texas. I love this oil. And of course the price is right for my budget.
Cedarwood is my 2nd best addition to the bug repellent sprays that I made. My friends love it.

Rating: A beautiful grounding scent that stabilizes and strengthens every product I use it in! Love it!
Rating: Smoky and deep noted, many clients appreciate this version of "cedarwood" although it's really a juniper!

Rating: this cedarwood is a toned down version of the virginian cedarwood. very nice, not so "sharp", and goes wonderfully with lavender and tea tree in a facial cleanser. Excellent value!

Rating: I use texas cedarwood in a mister for acne with tea trea oil, lavender and bergamot. i don't find it to be as "spicy" smelling as other cedarwood oils.
Rating: As well as the other cedarwood varities, this one is highly valued as a great ingredient in insect repellents, as I use it it my Bug-Off blend. It is similar to Virginian Cedarwood. Use for acne, arthritis, bronchitis, congestion, coughs, eczema, greasy hair, insect repellent, nervous tension, oily skin, psoriasis, rheumatism, sinusitis. Also known as Juniperus mexicana, Mexican Cedar, Mexican Juniper, Mountain Cedar, Rock Cedar.
