Product Abstract: The tree can grow up to 35 meters (100 feet) and the camphor is found in every part of it. The Essential Oil is extracted by steam from the chipped wood, root stumps and branches, and is then rectified. White camphor oil is the first distillation's fraction. In China and Japan, Cinnamomum camphora must be at least 50 years old to produce oil, and can often grow as old as a thousand years. The wood has been used in the construction of temples and in ship-building because of its durability and aromatic properties.
Cautions: Dilute before use; for external use only. May cause skin irritation in some individuals; a skin test is recommended prior to use. Contact with eyes should be avoided.
Storage: It is recommended that oils packaged in metal containers (for safe shipping) be transferred into dark glass containers to maintain freshness and attain maximum shelf life.

Rating: Purchased this for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised how crisp and refreshing is it. Very similar to Eucalyptus. Behaved extremely well in cold process soap, great price too. I will definitely be buying more.

Rating: Absolute must have when anyone in my family has a cold! Smells wonderful, though I do prefer the scent of the camphor powder NDA used to sell. Works well in cp soap.

Rating: This has a deep woodsy smell and is very nice. Just a few drops adjusted the other ingredients in my headache oil mix to perfection... without it the whole thing was off. This will always have a spot in my essential oils.

Rating: Scent holds up well in products. Camphoric and cleansing. Deep, soothing and a bit spicy. Very nice!

Rating: Has a very strong and piercing aroma. I personally prefer this to the Eucalyptus odour. What I love about this one is that beneath the piercing smell, there's a nice woody undertone. After the top notes disappears, the wood becomes more prominent. A natural perfume.

Rating: Very therapeutic and medicinal. Very similar to Eucalyptus and Rosemary but without their herbal notes - this is pure camphor (as expected).

Rating: Lovely EO. A little goes a long way. I use it in my sinus diffuser blend, some cold/muscle balm, as well as a few soap blends. I love the smell of camphor, and this is exactly the smell I remember from my childhood.

Rating: Yep, this smells exactly like clean camphor. Like Rosemary or Eucalyptus without the herbal notes of those. Perfect for medicinal use (breathing/sinus/chest congestion)

Rating: This smells exactly how you would expect - like the camphorous notes of Rosemary or Eucalyptus without those herbal smells. I imagine it would be great in muscle rubs and especially chest rubs for chest colds. Personally I use those 3 interchangeably in my cold blends. My favorite though is Rosalina for the similar decongestant effect, but it is milder and sweeter than Camphor, Rosemary or Eucalyptus. (but pricier)

Rating: I used this with cajeput and menthol crystals in a muscle balm. Loved it. Worked so well that my mom is requesting more batches so I reordered a larger bottle!

Rating: I really like this oil. At first I was intimidated by the scent, very strong. But it dilutes well, and blends well. Fresh, crisp, and actually not overpowering.
Rating: Couldn't live without this oil, wonderful.

Rating: This oil is perfect for men's scents... i have yet to meet one who doesn't love it. Its not too strong and it's very complex.

Rating: Added to an essential oil blend, a very small amount of this oil sharpens the scent and balances it out quite nicely. I was surprised when I first discovered this, as the scent directly from the bottle very "mothball-y". Excellent quality at a superb price.
