Description / Color / Consistency: A light, oily orange to reddish-orange liquid.
Aromatic Summary / Note / Strength of Aroma: Blood Orange (Sicily) essential oil has a warm, fresh citrus scent that is tangy. It is a middle note of medium aroma.
Product Abstract: Citrus sinensis is a middle-sized evergreen tree, covered with bark of a greenish-brown color, having auxiliary spines on the branches. The leaves are alternate, ovate-oblong, acute, shining green, the stalk more or less winged. The blood orange has streaks of red in the fruit, and when squeezed the juice is often reddish. Its red pigment, anthocyanin, is an antioxidant that is rare in the rest of the citrus family. A recently hybridized orange, it was cultivated in China and the southern Mediterranean in the early 18th century. The three which are widely cultivated today are the Moro, Toracco, and Sanguinello.
Cautions: This essential oil may contain phototoxic properties and it is suggested to avoid exposure to the sun after application to the skin. Dilute well before use; for external use only. May cause skin irritation in some individuals; a skin test is recommended prior to use. Contact with eyes should be avoided.
Storage: It is recommended that oils packaged in metal containers (for safe shipping) be transferred into dark glass containers to maintain freshness and attain maximum shelf life.

Rating: Parfait pour mes chandelles de soya d'aromatherapie! Mélanger avec bois de cèdre ( flash point respecté ) c'est juste Wow!
Perfect for my aromatherapy soy candles! Mix with cedar wood (flash point respected) it's just Wow!
Rating: I love this oil. It is much more subtle than other citrous options, I would describe it as having a more rounded scent.
Great in my diffuser to improve my mood, during the winter months!

Rating: Between this one and the Orange sweet EO, this one is my favorite. (Although they are both excellent, and trying to find the best between the two is like splitting hairs. Really a matter of taste). This one is a bit more concentrated, and stronger than the regular Orange EO. It makes the whole room sunnier and cures someones bad mood very fast.

Rating: Love the size for the price bit it is not as strong as I expected it would be. But that's just smelling it right out of the bottle Maybe it will be different once it's in my product.

Rating: Unlike some reviewers I can detect a raspberry-esque top note and I find this most certainly distinguishable from the other orange EOs.

Rating: This blood orange smells basically indistinguishable from the Sweet Orange and Sweet Orange Dark. I purchased 500mL in all 3. I was hoping for a richer more complex fragrance. It's delightful and uplifting and smells gorgeous... but so do the other 2 oranges at cheaper price points.

Rating: I find this pretty interested. Used it in a bath salt which most of my customers loved.

Rating: I have no preference for this one over the Orange 5 Fold, other than I like the "uniqueness" of this being Blood Orange EO...
Works really nice in lotions though, and in CP. I don't find it accelerates, but does almost lend a bit of an orange look... I would say it lightly discolours.

Rating: Doesn't smell the same as regular Citrus or Orange EO. Much more 'mature' smelling and stronger. Mixes well with Clove or Cinnamon Bud May accelerate trace in CP soaps

Rating: A warm, soft scent that I prefer over the orange sweet EO. It makes a distinct top note for my diffusers. Uplifting and cheerful.

Rating: Great EO. I much prefer the blood orange to the sweet orange. Delicious and citrus-y. And what an amazing price!

Rating: Nice warm smell, delightful colour. Love it!

Rating: Love the smell of a hot blood orange and it looks great colour as long as you don't stain something. Blood oranges themselves are rather expensive and this is a good way of getting that aroma

Rating: Love, love, love the smell! So true and refreshing.

Rating: I love it but maybe someone can tell me, in CP soaps it's hard to fix it ? As I see in the reviews it seems it's not a problem for most of you so I wonder why.... But for the smell of this EO I just fall in love with it, that's why I'm sad that I can't use it in my soaps...
Rating: Blood Orange EO has a very warm, softer scent than the other orange scents. Reminds me of marmalade jam and the colour of the oil is intense orange, gives soaps a nice golden tone. Wish I had bought the larger size! Great job ND on providing so many selections.

Rating: This citrus oil is very similar to sweet orange essential oil, which most of us are familiar with. However it is sweeter and feels a bit darker or warmer than the popular sweet orange. It's definately worth a try!

Rating: Blood orange is another great smelling EO stands up in CP if you add some orris root.
Rating: Beautiful Blood Orange! Another one of my favorites used in so many blends/synergies. A bit warmer than the typical sweet orange but really wonderful! You can't help but smile when enjoying the aroma.
