Main Constituents: Limonene: 40.47% Linalyl acetate: 26.79% Linalool: 10.78%
Plant Part: Fruit Peel
Processing Method: Cold Pressed
Description / Color / Consistency: A thin, light yellowish green to yellowish brown liquid.
Aromatic Summary / Note / Strength of Aroma: The aroma is basically citrus, yet fruity and sweet with a warm spicy floral quality, and is reminiscent of Neroli, giving a middle note of medium strength.
Product Abstract: The Bergamot tree can grow up to four meters high, with star-shaped flowers, and smooth leaves, bearing citrus fruit resembling a cross between an orange and a grapefruit but in a pear-shape. The fruit ripens from green to yellow. The name Bergamot is derived from the city Bergamo in Lombardy where the oil was first sold. In this variety, the bergaptene content which causes photosensitivity has been removed. This allows the Bergamot to be used in skin and hair care formulations without concern for phototoxicity after exposure to the sun.
Cautions: Dilute well before use; May cause skin irritation in some individuals; a skin test is recommended prior to use. Contact with eyes should be avoided.
Storage: It is recommended that oils packaged in metal containers (for safe shipping) be transferred into dark glass containers to maintain freshness and attain maximum shelf life.

Rating: This is an essential for all my best-selling soaps. Behaves in CP soap and has lovely staying power through curing. So flexible - great in both feminine / floral blends as well as masculine ones. One of my favs.

Rating: This EO smells amazing. My kids want it diffused in their rooms. Blends well in home made EO house Cleaners. Just enough of both a scent and natural fragrance when added to lip balms. Absolutely love it. Being bergaptene free makes it so much more useful, as now it isn’t going to cause sun-exposure challenges.

Rating: Delicious, sweet, and citrus scent. I like that this oil is Bergaptene Free , so it gives me a sun-safe citrus option for lip balms and body oils.

Rating: Love the other Calabrian Bergamot so knew I would love this one, which is almost identical in smell except bergaptene free. Planning to use it to fade sun spots and scars in a facial serum! Highly recommend!

Rating: This is a great bergamot and reasonably priced. I make a salve for psoriasis and eczema using this bergamot along with lavender, tea tree, chamomile, calendula and copaiba. I love NDA oils, good quality and prices. I have been a customer for years and will always buy from here.

Rating: Smells refreshing! I made an eczema cream for my friend using a couple of drops of this Bergaptene-Free Bergamot essential oil and NDA's Shea Butter (Ghana) and my friend won't stop thanking me since then! Definitely worth every buck!

Rating: I use this for aroma purposes and for cleaning since it has no color. I use the other Bergamot for therapeutic purposes.

Rating: I have used this EO in massage lotions since day 1, and always has a calming, refreshing effect. It is great for a room fragrance, bedsheet spray or to add to cleaning products. A mainstay in my collection.

Rating: I love the smell of bergamot. I had seen it used in quite a few different items I purchased and decided to order some and use it in mine. It's a beautiful scent and combines well with so many other EO's

Rating: Delicious and citrusy, very crisp and intense. One of my favorites.
Rating: Like the previous review stated, not that warm slightly peppery Bergamot that I am used to, but sharper and crisper and more heavily weighted to the sweet citrusy side. Still, a wonderful scent and free from Bergaptene.

Rating: Amazing price for a more difficult to find oil. Thanks very much for this. It's a main oil in my most popular cream mixed with orange and benzoin. This is the first time I've bought here and I switched because of the price. It's not as warm as the other bergamots I've bought, a little sharper, but i believe it will still blend nicely and customers won't notice.
Rating: My husband has found a new favourite scent blend - Bergamot and Frankincense. I prefer it with a drop of Rose added, myself.
