Rating: I would like to clarify some misunderstanding and, from my point of view, unfair rating of this product:
This extract gets its pink color from the red pigment, called ANTHOCYANIN. Red cabbage, lungworts and many other plants, beside roses, also have this pigment.
The color of anthocyanin can be red, purple or blue-gray. It depends on pH of the solution. In acidic environment it is pink, in alkaline - blue. Always.
Do not expect pink color in CP soap with pH 9-10. You will never get it. It is basic chemistry, which has nothing to do with the quality of this particular product. Try a shampoo or cream with pH 5-6 instead.

Rating: This extract has a wonderful colour and aroma. Reminds me of blackberries or drinking "Ribena" as a child! I have added it as a key ingredient to my seaweed facial masks; much as I love the wonderful NDA seaweed extract and I use it in soaps as well it does not have a great aroma, but I can successfully mask this by adding the Rosehip extract..plus I get all the additional benefits of the Rosehips! Of course the lovely red colour just gets mixed in with the seaweed so you do lose that.

Rating: I tried this in bath bombs and they turned out beautifully! The scent is light but soothing and the colour ranges from light to dramatic depending on how much is used. Highly recommended!
Rating: I used it in soap hoping it would give it even a pink colour, but nope, I got a grey colour. Not very 'pretty' so I added some mica to save that batch. My advice is not to use it for it's colour as it's very deceiving, but use it more for it's medical benefits, and it's got a very light, but lovely floral scent.

Rating: I used it in the bath bombs hoping it will color them in natural red color. They were pink though when I made them, next day they turned grey. I am not sure how it works in soaps but it does not work as a colorant for bath bombs.

Rating: Turned the ribbons of what I hoped would be pink to black in my m&p soap. Luckily this made the soap yellow and black stripes. So I called it a Bumble Bee's Dream and scented it lavender and chamomile. Love the dark colour it gave, definitely will use it again to achieve dark black current colour.

Rating: I was a little upset when I first got this because it smelles really weird. But then when I put it in my melt and pour soap it smelled really good! Go figure. But I'm really happy with it. Its a beautiful colour and has great benefits for your skin. It turned my soap kinda pink with tiny red spots. It looks cute. I would buy this again.

Rating: This turned a dark charcoal colour in my m&p soap. I was hoping that it would act as a wonderful natural dark red colorant for my soap.
Rating: Makes a great colouring agent for soap making. Colour is very powerful.
