Product Abstract: Carrot is a domesticated form of the wild carrot, Daucus carota, which is native to Europe and southwestern Asia. It is a biennial plant which grows a rosette of leaves with an umbel of white flowers that produce the seeds. The name is derived from the Greek carotos, for 'healing'. The herb was transported to the Americas where it became known as Queen Anne's Lace, but the edible orange root as we know it was developed by the Dutch in the 1700's.
Cautions: Dilute before use; for external use only. May cause skin irritation in some individuals; a skin test is recommended prior to use. Contact with eyes should be avoided.
Storage: It is recommended that oils packaged in metal containers (for safe shipping) be transferred into dark glass containers to maintain freshness and attain maximum shelf life.

Rating: I love this oil. I use it with lavender in cuticle balm and I find the scent exceptionally pleasant. I just came back to buy a bigger bottle.

Rating: I enjoy the hippie/health-food store scent of carrot seed oil in skin care products, but I don't really use it for the smell, and I wouldn't say the smell is super popular with everyone. It's strong and woodsy with a hint of wild carrot. Like another person commented, I only use one drop in a 15 mL bottle of facial oil; the scent isn't overpowering at all, just barely there. Very nice for mature skin. My skin's never been better since I started making my own skin care with products from ND!

Rating: I recently purchased this EO to make an anti-aging serum for my Mom and it has helped improve her skin complexion. The smell isn’t the greatest however the quality is great so I would recommend it!
Rating: This EO smells weird. I bought it because of the reviews and I wanted to try. I can’t say I hate, but I don’t love it either. It’s sort of sweet, moldie smell. My soaps are curing now, so I’ll have to wait until they’re fully cured to smell the final result.
Rating: Carrotseed EO has a natural spf, so I use it in my lip balm and it is easy to mask the smell. I pair it with peppermint and all you smell is the peppermint and butters in the balm.
Rating: Deep, woody. Good for the skin, easy to hide with other EO's. A rather nice Carrot Seed EO. Some are really strong.

Rating: Beautiful oil, with rich deep woody earthy smell, warm and embracing.

Rating: Fantastic oil for the skin but smells a little whiskey-like. Easy to mask with other EO though!

Rating: A beautiful addition to any facial care product. I use it in my facial serum. It is not an oil to be used as a solo perfume or even diffused. One strictly therapeutic uses, in my opinion. This oil does not contain any SPF - despite what I've read on some blogs. Not to be used or confused for sun screen.

Rating: Definite addition to all my facial products. Can't be without this.

Rating: In my facial serum, 15ml bottle, I litterally can only put one drop. Any more and this over powers (but that's a nice thing for longevity of a 5ml bottle of this oil...)! So, this oil I use in VERY SMALL doses, as a little does go a long way.
I've also used it in a lip balm for my friend with super super chapped lips. She wasn't a fan of the carrotseed oil, but she did like that it helped her lips.

Rating: These comments are always interesting, often describing a range of responses to the same experience. My carrot oil just arrived today, and I popped the lid with some excitement, but I confess it was not love at first, second, or even third sniff. Before disappointment set in, I started a blend, with lavender, just one drop each of cedar and blood orange, and the result, so far, is warm and honey-drenched . This oil is not a great soloist, but is a powerful team player.

Rating: My first 1 star rating at NDA because this oil seems very burned out earthy and seems to have no therapeutic benefits, that is if we compare it to the CO2 version which is a top quality skin oil. I thought it would be similar to a CO2 version and got this on sale but it was a mistake and I had to throw away 500ml bottle. It was that bad. Overall , I believe that CO2 may be superior to steam distilled, nowhere more so than with Carrot Seed EO. I know that I will only stick with the other Carrot Seed from now on.

Rating: First time buying carrot seed EO, the smell is a bit strong but not overwhelming, diluted in carrier oils, it is fantastic! I use it in facial serums, love the colour, works great!

Rating: I love the Carrot Seed (CO2) but find this one a bit overpowering when used in my facial products. For anyone looking for the benefits of Carrot Seed oil without a strong smell, do not buy this one!
Rating: I love carrot seed oil and this one isn't bad. It's a little stronger smelling than the CO2 but it's still a beautiful oil.

Rating: Loved the first bottle I ordered...great in skin care products. However, the second bottle I ordered smelled HORRIBLE..and did not have the same colour as the first bottle. I had some of the originalproduct to compare it with..and it wasn't even close. I suspect I got a "bad" product..hopefully I will have some satisfaction with customer service ...the bottle was sent back.

Rating: I would rate this Strong, instead of just medium aroma strength.
It is thick musky earthy. It smells nice after it's blended/diluted to lighten the scent.

Rating: Made a skin cream with carrot seed (and a little bit of patchouli); it's fantastic. I do not buy in large quanties, am just a hobbist and was suprised & pleased with the quality of service I recieved. The excellent packaging and quick deliver provided is worth a mention-am already planning my next order.
Rating: Very strong scent, but pleasing in the right blend. Great properties.

Rating: This is a high quality product that is useful as an additive to a large variety of products. I add this to my cold processed soaps as a nutrient and again to one of my creams. Does provide colour to all products.

Rating: I love this oil! Highly recommended for anti-wrinkle products! Can also be used for anorexia, arthritis, burns, dermatitis, detoxifying, eczema, glandular problems, liver congestion, mature complexion, PMT relief, psoriasis, rashes, revitalising, scars, toner, wrinkles. Also known as Bird's Nest, Queen Anne's Lace, Wild Carrot. It also has a really nice scent. A must have ingredient in any mature skin formula. This one is of the best quality I've seen.
Rating: Very nice oil, good addition to anti-age serums and creams, smells good to me.
