Description: Sacha Inchi oil is obtained from the organic seeds of the Sacha Inchi plant, which grows in the Peruvian Amazon Rainforest. It is one of the richest vegetable sources of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA), namely Alpha Linolenic Acid (Omega 3), Linolenic Acid (Omega 6), and Oleic Acid (Omega 9). Sacha Inchi oil is extracted at low temperatures through the cold-press process method. Its high concentration of Vitamin E preserves the nutritional properties, freshness, and stability of the oil without the need for any additives or preservatives.
Color: Clear, light yellow liquid.
Aromatic Description: Mild nutty scent, characteristic of most carrier oils.
Common Uses: Sacha Inchi oil is used in formulations meant for mature skin, creams, and lotions due to its exceptionally high antioxidant and skin smoothing properties. It soothes dry, irritated skin and damaged hair making it ideal for use in liquid soaps and shampoos.
Consistency: It has typical characteristics of most carrier oils.
Absorption: It is light and absorbs quickly into the skin without leaving an oily residue.
Shelf Life: Users can expect a shelf life of 2 years with proper storage conditions (cool, out of direct sunlight). Refrigeration after opening is recommended.
Cautions: None Known.
Storage: It is recommended that cold-pressed carrier oils be kept in a cool, dark place to maintain freshness and achieve maximum shelf life. If refrigerated, bring to room temperature before using.
