Coco Glucoside

Coco Glucoside is an non-ionic surfactant that can be used as a foaming agent, conditioner or emulsifier. It is derived from renewable raw materials such as coconut oil and fruit sugars, and is completely biodegradable. It contains no diethanolamides, lauryl sulfates, laureth sulfates, parabens or formaldehyde.

Appearance: Yellow to golden yellow cloudy, viscous, aqueous liquid.

Benefits: Coco Glucoside is mainly used to increase the foaming capacity in hair and skin care products. It exhibits excellent cleansing characteristics on the skin & hair, and works as an emulsifier to keep the oil and water parts of an emulsion from separating thus enhancing the moisturizing properties in a product.

Application: Coco Glucoside is compatible with all skin types and is gentle on the skin & hair. It can be used to manufacture a variety of cosmetic and skin care products such as shampoos, conditioners, body washes, cleansers, hand soaps, body scrubs, acne treatments, facial moisturizers, hair dyes and baby products.

Recommended Usage:
Shampoo and Body Wash: 30% - 45%
Facial Cleanser or Baby Wash: 15% - 25%

Storage: This product can be stored in its original unopened containers at below 40° C for at least two years. It should not be stored at temperatures below 15° C or crystallization may occur. The product should be heated and stirred until uniform before use. Upon storage some sedimentation can occur which has no negative effects on the quality. It is recommended to homogenize the product before use by stirring.

Would anyone be willing to share recipes/ratios/etc for use in m&p soap? I was super excited about this, but have not had the success I expected. My soap turned out somewhat rubbery with (seemingly) less lather then betfore (I used the natural sls free m&p base from ND). Any ideas? Can't wait to try it as a kids bubble bath!

NDA you did it again! I just finished making bubble bars and replaced all the liquid surfactants (2) called for with the coco glucoside. It is a lovely thick liquid that mades blending easy. Oh yes... wonderful ,fast, frothy bubbles! THNX

This surfactant is fantastic. I will replace the cocamidopropyl betaine that I was using with this. The surfactant is nice and thick and is so gentle to your skin! Great job in choosing this surfactant NDA!
