COVID-19: UPDATES & OPERATIONAL STATUS

In light of recent developments, I would like to update our valuable customers on the precautionary and mitigative measures we are engaging in as a company in response to COVID-19. Given that the disease has been classified as a pandemic, it is imperative that we all join forces and rise to the challenge of minimizing its spread while protecting the vulnerable. 

NDA recognizes that COVID-19 is now a tangible threat to the health of our dear customers, employees, and partners, as well as their families, friends, colleagues, and loved ones. At the same time, we are all navigating new and unchartered territory, which means we must be flexible, proactive, and adaptive in the way we act. The responsibility that we hold as a trusted company to our clients and employees at this time cannot be overstated. In line with this, we are working carefully to respond in harmony with the recommendations and ongoing advice promoted by the government, public health officials, the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), and WHO (World Health Organization).

NDA is proud to be donating much-needed Hand Sanitizer supplies to support frontline workers in their diligent fight against COVID-19. Starting this week, NDA will be distributing our Hand Sanitizer Spritz to nurses, emergency responders, and police personnel working at the very forefront of the crisis. This donation is in tribute to the critical service they provide in protecting the health and safety of those vulnerable as well as our communities as a whole.

On Monday, April 6, our website will re-open to accept orders for bulk items and all Hand Cleansing products.

This will include orders only for bulk items (Drums of all Oils and bulk sizes of all Raw Materials) and all our Hand Cleansers: Tea Tree + Hyaluronic Acid Hand Wash and Hand Cleanser (All Natural), Lemongrass Verbena Hand Cleansing Gel, and Hand Sanitizer Spritz. This is subject to change without notice due to the evolving circumstances in relation to the pandemic. We are continuously monitoring our capacity and will inform our customers once we are able to start accepting online orders for all pack sizes. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, New Directions Aromatics will be operating with a minimum number of employees. As a result, we will be temporarily suspending all online orders starting from Tuesday, March 24th at 5:00 PM EST to ensure our backlog of orders can be fully processed. As a vital precautionary measure to safeguard our employees and customers against the COVID-19 outbreak, New Directions Aromatics is temporarily suspending all Customer Pick-up Orders as of 5:00 PM EST today, Thursday March 19. Customer Pick-up Orders will also not be accepted on our website, and our showroom will remain closed until further notice. We thank you for your continued patience and understanding.

To provide some additional clarity during these uncertain times, we have assembled a list of FAQs for our valued customers: 

1. Are NDA operations continuing uninterrupted? 

   At present, we have acted to combine our two shifts into one daytime shift for increased vigilance, reduced risk, and to better monitor the health of our staff. As a result of this measure, along with reduced staffing due to the suspension of schools and day-cares, we anticipate that order processing and shipping times will be delayed.

2. What measures are you taking to mitigate the risks of COVID-19? 

   As of last week, we have initiated temperature testing of our employees and all visitors to our facilities. We have also instigated additional sanitization measures and will continue to uphold our high standards of cleaning and disinfection within all our premises. To better protect our employees, we have equipped them with sanitizers and cleansers, along with official resources and essential support for those who are in need of alternate working arrangements or information on self-quarantine measures.

3. Is NDA developing any products that can help reduce the spread of the virus? 

   Yes. Our R&D team has been working actively at developing a number of cleansing and sanitizing products that are aimed at contributing to hand hygiene practices and awareness. These products will be launched shortly, with the first being released today.

4. Are we still able to place our orders online? 

   Yes, our website will remain functional for all online purchasing.

5. Will there be any disruptions to order processing and shipping services?

   No, not at the moment; this will however be contingent on the continued operations of Fedex, UPS, and other common carriers.

6. What will happen to my prepaid orders in the event of a mandatory shutdown?

   Your continued patience, trust, and confidence in us would be valued in such a situation. Upon NDA's reopening, I would like to assure that any customer wishing to cancel their order will receive a full refund.

We are diligently monitoring official channels and guidelines to ensure we are taking the right steps at the right time, and will do our best to keep you updated.
