MT-50 Vitamin E is a golden yellow to reddish, viscous oil with lumps having a slight characteristic vegetable oil aroma. This variety of Vitamin E has 500 IU and is gluten free. It may add a tint of color to skincare formulations.
Vitamin E plays a crucial role in protecting skin cells and membranes from environmental damage. This protection extends to stopping damage to the skin from UV rays, pollutants and aging. It provides deep miniaturization for the skin whilst allowing the skin to breathe and function naturally, therefore helping to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. For use in cosmetics, Vitamin E is a natural preservative that helps sustain shelf life of products. Adding 0.5% Vitamin E to a carrier oil will preserve the oil. If you want to preserve the oil and add benefits to the skin, add minimum of 2% Vitamin E to maximum of 30% to the formulation.
MT-50 may oxidize upon exposure to air and light, resulting in gradual darkening.
INCI: Tocopherol
Constituents: 50% vitamin E(d-alpha tocopherol, d-beta tocopherol, d-gamma tocopherol, d-delta tocopherol.) and 50% soy.
Solubility: Vitamin E MT-50 is soluble in ethanol, ether, acetone, fats and vegetable oils. It is insoluble in water.
Cautions: Keep tightly closed in a cool dark, dry, well ventilated area since Vitamin E is subjected to oxidization.

A 1/4 tsp is all you need to use for a 250 ml container for your lotions, it is very thick and I find I need to take the plastic dripper out to pour, by keeping it too at room temperature helps with the pouring. keep in the fridge after use
