Botanical Name: Fragaria Vesca
Appearance: Fine reddish pink to purple powder.
Rich in polyphenols and Vitamin C, Strawberry Powder provides protection for the skin, has skin soothing properties and is a wonderful toner to reduce the appearance of pores.
The recommended usage rate should not exceed 0.5% of the weight of the final product.

Strawberries contain salicylic acid. As part of a facial mask, this was effective as exfoliater, making pores smaller, skin look brighter/shinier. Very impressed with the effects and so much easier than grinding up hard to find strawberries(due to season).

It is great for masks, but has no smell. It does not stay red when added to soap, but in creams it is fine. Depends how you use it, and experimentation is needed for this one.

This product turned a nasty green colour when I added it to the shea butter m&p base. And I was disappointed in its smell. Not only did it not smell at all like strawberry, but it actually smelled chemically and not nice at all.

I was happy to see the extract packaged in foil pouches this time, but saddened that it was a different product than before. The previous extract had a dark colour and incredible strawberry smell that my customers loved. The new product is an unnatural raspberry colour and completely odourless even when wet. Its also labeled as 'from China' as opposed to the old one from the US... sorry, but i get a little nervous about that these days. I never knew China was known for their strawberry crops.
