Roses are traditionally known for their heavenly aroma. Metaphorically the rose is related to the emotion love, and traditionally the most predominant flower symbol in the world, symbolizing love, youth and beauty. Historically the name Rosa comes from the Greek word, rodon, meaning red. The traditional and contemporary uses of rose are almost the same. It has been mainly used for its fragrance component and its soothing effect.

Common Uses: Rose Buds can be used in compresses, poultices, soap making, bath fizzies, bath sachets and potpourri.

The smell is wonderful but the petals are more two toned-dark pink/coral than dark red though, the petals are small. The product itself is good but the packaging is definitely not: the Ziploc bag opened during the shipping (it could have been sealed with a simple tape), 1/3 of it is totally crushed and useless for my project! Fortunately, the zip bag was doubled with a grocery bag. This type of fragile botanicals should be packaged in a container. For that reason, I give only 3.

I was really amazed at how much I got for what I paid for, it's really going to last a while. I really like it, but I don't know why it looses colour when I add it into soaps. That's the only problem I have with it, but it has a really nice smell.

I couldn't believe how much I got for my money. I have so much leftover that I'm trying to find ways to use it up! Really nice product, and levely smell.
