Phytokeratin is a vegetable derived keratin which is made by blending free amino acids derived from wheat, corn and soy. It augments the free amino acids naturally present in the skin giving the skin a soft, healthy, moist appearance. In hair care preparations, Phytokeratin enhances the hair moisture binding ability giving sparkle, shine and bounce. It is soluble in aqueous solutions. This product is GMO Free.
INCI: Hydrolyzed Corn Protein & Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein & Hydrolyzed Soy Protein.
Application: Phytokeratin can be used to make shampoo, conditioner, treatment (hair), leave-in, styling, body wash, body lotion, treatment (body), cleanser, toner, facial moisturizer and face treatment.
Recommended Use: Phytokeratin can be easily added during the manufacturing process. The recommended dosage is 1.0 up to 5.0%.

This might just be my favorite product I have ever bought!!! I made a hair gel and put this in it... WOW!!!! It's like a hair gel, leave in conditioner, hair treatment all in one. It made my hair soooooo soft and easy to manage. This stuff rocks!!! You really Have to try it yourself!!! It deserves WAY more than only 5 stars

Every time i put some of this geenie in a bottle into any of my hair serums its a hit. i love to see jaws drop when they see what can be done whit them. what they do not know is that this is all they need to make an award winning formula. If i have a client whos hair is curly the ensds especially willl go from frizzy and dry to a perfect cork screw full of bounce, and if i blow it out omg to a shiny super asian straight and full of volume. best thing EVER this will pay my bills lol

This has to be the best thing I ever discovered. I added to my shampoo and conditioner and I really didnt notice a dramatic difference. I decided to spay it on my locks with a fine mist mixed with a small amount of panthenol, and my god, the difference was day and night. The concoction was sticky, but I used a hair dryer to heat it all up and then I sat with it on my head for about an hour. I should have taken before and after pictures because my hair was like silk. My husband couldnt believe it. I have no idea if anyone else would experience what I did, but I feel like i found the fountain of youth for my hair. I looked over the MSDS sheets before applying straight, and didnt see any warnings. I did not experience any negative side effects. Incredible stuff!!

I made a review in 2007, but make another one in 2009... ce prpduit est extraordinaire ! A ajouter dans votre shampooing, dans votre rince-crème : pure merveille : la chevelure devient brillante et prend du corps. Je recommande la phytokératine à qui veut utiliser le "sls free" shampoo de New Directions et d'y ajouter la phytokeratine. Résultat immédiat !

I like how this active is very convenient to mix with existing products. Like the previous reviewer suggested, I am adding this to my regular hair care products to boost their effectiveness. I also love the metal bottle that this liquid came in!

I have added phytokeratin to my normal shampoo, and a bit with my normal conditioner. My hair is extremely shiny. My hair is naturally curly. With phytokeratin, each curl is full of life. I would recommend this product even to persons who do not make beauty products, but who would otherwise buy expensive treatments for hair. The results are astounding !
