As other reviewers wrote, this is not a typical pear smell... when I describe the smell to friends, I say it is Pear and Spices; I find it more suiting than Pear Fantasy. Nice smell nonetheless, but don't expect a sweet fruity scent!

This fragrance oil is a pear scent but not as deep a pear smell as the real thing. It is lighter in scent, sweeter in scent without the complex rich scent of a real pear. However, it does smell nice in products, just probably not quite what you would expect.

A little disappointed at first. But I think that once incorporated into the soap, it should be just fine. A little sweeter that I thought it would be. It would probably go very well with another fragrance such as vanilla. Imagine a Poire-Belle-Helene soap: the fragrances of pear and vanilla with the color of chocolate swirled into light colored soap !
