3. Hazardous Ingredients Information:
This material is solid at room temperature and will soften as temperatures increase eventually becoming a liquid. Caution is required when this material is handled as a liquid or burnt. Hydrocarbon vapours and oxidizing products may be expected. HMIS Rating: Fire – 1, Health Hazard – 0, Reactivity – 0, Personal Protection: 0 (at room temperature).

5. Fire/Explosion Hazard:
Flash Point: 233 deg. C or 450 deg. F Will combust at elevated temperatures. Precaution: NEVER MELT WAX BY DIRECT HEAT. Always use a water bath.
6. Reactivity/Stability Data:
Reactivity: Stable.
Decomposition: When heated to decomposition produces acrid fumes and carbon monoxide smoke.
7. Toxicological Properties/Information:
Skin contact: Contact with molten material can result in severe burns. Eye Contact: Direct contact of molten product to the eyes will cause thermal burns and eye damage. Inhalation: Breathing fumes in confined areas can cause respiratory discomfort and possible irritation. Ingestion: This material is not acutely toxic, however it should not be ingested or put in the mouth. May cause digestive tract irritation in case of ingestion.
8. Preventive Data:
Spillage: Sweep up and remove to an approved disposal container.
Fire: Recommended extinguishing media – CO2, foam and dry chemicals. DO NOT use direct water jet on burning material.
Environment: Keep away from drains, surface and ground water.
Storage: Store in cool, dry and well ventilated area protected in tightly closed container away from sources of ignition, heat and sunlight. Keep air contact to minimum.
9. First Aid Measures:
Eye contact: Molten product can cause severe burns and eye damage. Flush with water for at least 15 minutes. Call physician.
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. Avoid casual breathing of fine wax particles.
Ingestion: Rinse mouth and consult a physician immediately. Never-give anything by mouth if victim is unconscious, is rapidly-losing consciousness, or is convulsing.
CAUTION! Melted wax can cause severe burns. Do not remove solidified wax on burn, cool with water and see a physician.
11. Individual Protection for Industrial Use:
Use safety glasses and neoprene gloves, boots if handling containers of hot wax. Avoid breathing in product by ensuring good ventilation when handling.
