7. Toxicological Properties/Information:
Not to be used if suffering from acute jaundice and hepatitis, obstruction of the bile duct or gallstones, fever or inflammation and during pregnancy. At doses higher than oral (rat), LD50 = 100 mg/kg, curcumin may be ulcerogenic.
8. Preventive Data:
Spillage: Wash with copious amounts of water into sanitary sewer or mop up and wash down area.
Environment: Sanitary sewer or landfill is in accordance with local, state, and federal-pollution regulations.
Storage: Pack in aluminum foil bag and one plastic bag inside. Store in a well-closed container away from moisture and direct sunlight.
9. First Aid Measures:
Eye contact: Flush with water for at least 10 minutes.
Inhalation: Avoid casual breathing.
Ingestion: Rinse mouth.
Skin contact: Wash with soap and plenty of water.
