Menthol is a compound obtained from Peppermint Oil. The anti-fungul and anti-bacteria action of Menthol has been studied extensively. Menthol Crystals finds diverse applications because of its characteristic aroma, flavor, and its cooling effect. Menthol Crystals can be used in perfumes, cosmetics, analgesic balms, lotions, creams, shampoos and conditioners. Recommended usage level is 0.5 - 8 %.

I use it at 3% in a foot cream for really damaged feet in the oil phase. I should say that I apply this cream daily Before I was not able to stay on my feet more than 1 hour .My feet was burning. Since 3 days with this cream twice a day ,they are better and better everyday. Will like to get a recipe for a shower gel so I could also use it in.

WOW, such a powerful scent. Amazing. I have actually mixed it in with a shower gel, and the results were excellent. Very cooling for the whole body. Also made a foot scrub with it. Leaves your feet feeling very refreshed.

My mother-in-law gets really bad arthritis and loves it when I make a cooling spritz for her (by dissolving menthol crystals in denat. alcohol, then blending that solution with distilled or peppermint floral water). However, people should be warned that this is the most invasive-smelling stuff ever. I double-bagged the crystals with Ziplocs and put them in my soaping box, and EVERYTHING, including my beeswax, cocoa butter, and all my powders absorbed the menthol smell, despite being separated and sealed within their own Ziploc bags. Wicked stuff, and it works wonders, but my advice is to store it at the opposite end of your home, away from anything you don't want smelling minty-fresh.

this product is a wonderful additive in lotions, and assists in lightening muscle aches and pains. Strong scent, so a little goes a long way. This product has become a staple for me. I would definately reccomend it!
