Ok, so I found a solution for putting larger labels on these containers. Fill the bottom with polycarbonate varnish so it dries clear and then you can put a 1.2" round label on the bottom of the container. These are much nicer salve jars than tin containers.

Be careful when planning to label these jars. There is a circular lip on the bottom of the jar that will not even allow a 1" circular label to be attached, even though the bottom base is labeled as 6cm (2.25"). Bought a lot of silver labels for these jars which are totally useless now. These jars are next to impossible to label with a product name, website and ingredients for my salves. You would have to use size 3 font to label properly. It would be better if the base was perfectly flat. The lid is also rounded so it makes it super difficult to put a circular label on the lid without it being creased and bubbled. Having said this, the jars are very nice in appearance...just impossible to label properly.
