Description: Jasmine Sambac is a beautiful plant; its flowers bloom late in the evening unlike Jasmine Grandiflorum that blooms in the early dawn.
Color: Dark brown yellowish liquid.
Common Uses: Jasmine Sambac Absolute is well regarded as an aphrodisiac, though it is also considered an antidepressant, sedative, and antispasmodic.

Blends well with: Jasmine Absolute generally works with all oils. It helps to round out scents, and tends to work particularly well with other aphrodisiac oils (Sandalwood and Ylang-ylang are two great examples).
Aromatic Scent: Jasmine Sambac Absolute is an incredibly intense aroma that is very floral, yet more musky and masculine than the Jasmine Grandiflorum.
History: Since ancient times, Jasmine has been referred to as the King of oils (Rose is the Queen). Apparently this is because Jasmine is the most masculine of all the floral oils. It is also interesting to note that it takes 8,000 carefully hand-picked blossoms to produce 1 gram (about 1 ml.) of Jasmine Absolute.
Cautions: It is important to note that all absolutes are extremely concentrated by nature. They should not be evaluated in this state unless you are accustomed to the undiluted fragrance. For those trying Absolutes for the first time, we strongly recommend they be evaluated in dilution. Otherwise, the complexity of the fragrance - particularly the rare and exotic notes - becomes lost.

Jasmine Sambac is a fantastic floral fragrance - very sensual and feminine. I like the Jasmine Grandiflorum, too, but it's more "robust" and not as sweetly floral. A little goes a long way with this oil, even at 3% dilution. I'll be ordering this again.

I love this!! I am so glad NDA carries 2 kinds of jasmine scent~ The grandiflorum is also very beautiful, more subtle and floral. The Sambac is also flora, but I feel it's sweeter? Loves both of the jasmines :)

Ughhh! I absolutely love the scent of this night blooming jasmine! I prefer Jasminum Sambac which has a lush and wet scent to Jasminum Grandiflorum which is considered to be more flowery. In my EO perfume blend, this Jasmine balances the many sweet florals to give it a more rounded and complete aroma!
