Common Uses: Blue Hemlock Absolute can be used in formulations for perfumery, cosmetics and in insect repellents. It is considered great in preparations for coughs, colds, asthma and other respiratory ailments. Due its anti-inflammatory properties, Blue Hemlock can be used to relieve aches and pains and is also credited with being a spiritual oil – stabilizing while opening.

Strength of Aroma: Strong
Blends well with: Citronella, Clary Sage, Coriander, Cypress, Eucalyptus, Frankincense, Juniper, Lavender, Myrrh, Rosemary, Spikenard and Tea Tree.
Aromatic Scent: Blue Hemlock Absolute has a fresh fruity balsamic notes.
History: Blue Hemlock Oil has long been used by Native Americans to make a poultice for wounds and sores. The twigs were also used in steam baths to induce sweating for relief of rheumatism, colds and coughs.
Cautions: This absolute should be avoided during pregnancy. At low doses it appears to be non-toxic, non-irritating, and non-sensitizing. It is important to note that all absolutes are extremely concentrated by nature. They should not be evaluated in this state unless you are accustomed to the undiluted fragrance. For those trying Absolutes for the first time, we strongly recommend they be evaluated in dilution. Otherwise, the complexity of the fragrance - particularly the rare and exotic notes - becomes lost.

An amazing and wonderful WHITE SPRUCE oil... think of Christmas and bringing a fresh cut tree into the house. WONDERFUL! HOWEVER: Aside from the word HEMLOCK referring to several poisonous plants in the Apiaceae family, It ALSO refers to "Tsuga", a genus of coniferous trees. Hemlock does NOT refer to Genus "Picea" Hemlock refers to Genus "Tsuga" NOT the Picea alba (White Spruce) you have listed here. (Your Australia website you correctly list Hemlock Essential Oil as "Tsuga Canadensis" (Blue Spruce). Genus "Picea" is not called Hemlock. ALSO: Both Genus: "Tsuga" and "Picea" belong to the Pinaceae family, BUT Picea are NOT Hemlock.
