Frankincense Granules

The trunk of the Frankincense tree exudes a sticky substance called resin. This resin is made up of roughly 65% gum, 30% resin and 4% essential oil. It can be harvested once the resin has hardened into crystals. Historically, Frankincense has been used in perfumes & cosmetics for thousands of years. Today it remains a fragrance component in soaps, incense, and of course, cosmetics and perfumes. Frankincense Granules can be burned to purify the air and to encourage a meditative state.

I was very excited when I received my Frankincense! I actually enjoyed the fact that there was a bit of bark on some of the granules, I found these pieces smelled stronger than the others. Wonderful product that I will definitely buy again!

I am very pleased with these granules. They was no extraneous matter in mine, just very clean chunks of resin. I do think that NDA should mention in the description that the variety is Boswellia serrata, just to be clear. I put some chunks in a cloth and hammered it into small pieces. Next I took a small E.O. diffuser (distance from tea light to bowl 2 inches) and covered the bowl with a single layer of aluminum foil molded to the bowls' shape. Light candle and enjoy two hours of glorious fragrance! Change the foil each use. When the granules go dark they're spent. I prefer this method to using charcoal disks because there is very little smoke. Nice product at a good price.

Not impressed with this product at all. My Bag was full of tree bark along with the granules and they hardly smelled at all. Probably not as fresh as they could be.

WOW! I can't stop smelling the bag of Frankincense Granules. It has a subtle woodsy spicy scent with a sweeter vanilla like undertone to it. It really is a haunting mesmerizing aroma. Almost makes me think it is edible!

This item was a top seller for me at the Holistic World Expo. I packed them in a vegetable cellulose bag in 100 g quantities with a card giving instructions. Customers were fascinated by the look of the resin, and entranced by the smell.

This was a fun a spur of the moment purchase on my part. Wasn't really sure what I would use them for but discovered when I blended them down that it was a great addition to one of my soaps and I continue to think up new ideas to try them with.
