The Dead Sea is the most saline body of water in the world with far greater concentrations of minerals than any ocean (a concentration of 32% minerals compared to other seas, holding approximately 3%). Bromides and Iodine are present in Dead Sea Salt, including other minerals in a dried form, such as Magnesium, Sodium, Calcium and Potassium. All these minerals work together as regulators of cell activity and daily functioning, relieving muscular pain and stabilizing fluid levels in the body.
Our Fine Dead Sea Salt variety is white in color and has a consistency similar to table salt. The rough nature of the salt lends itself to skin scrubs (exfoliation) and can also be used with Epsom salts (magnesium sulphate). We recommend you try Dead Sea Salt as a body scrub or just as a relaxing additive to your baths.

Body Scrub & Soak Recipe:
In a small bowl mix 6 drops Clementine, 6 drops Grapefruit Pink, 6 drops Mandarin Essential Oils and 3 teaspoon honey into 2 cups Dead Sea Salts. Hop into the bath water and wet your body (don’t make the water too hot or you will get sleepy and not refreshed). Stand up in the bath and take a handful of the salt mixture at a time and scrub down your entire body. Let the mixture fall into the tub. Soak for no more than 20 minutes as this mixture is to refresh and rejuvenate. Massage your entire body with Jojoba oil blended with your favorite essential oil combination and allow the oil to absorb into your skin.

I bought this Sensuous by Nature Dead Sea Mineral Bath Salt I think is this product that I am commenting on, not sure though so maybe the sales rep could double check but anyway I got this with the ideea of using it for body scrub treatments, the granulation I find it too big for that, but thanks to one of the reviews for other scrub I will be using a coffee grinder to make it finer :-) but the scent- WOW!!! - Is very spaish, it smells botanical, and I am planning to use it for back scrubs treatments, body scrubs and maybe give small jars for Christmas to my clients after the treatments as gifts :-) I know they will come back for more after that :-) Definetely a good buy, and for the price, come on 1 KG -$8 Cad. can't beat that for sure...

These salts are wonderful, and they smell so fresh on their own that I sometimes use them without EO's... Of course blending is the fun part, and so far I've made 4 different types of bath salts...My favorite is a Detox blend with Patchouli, 5 fold Lemon, Basil & Juniper Berry....Smells so good and relaxing too.

When I opened my jars of Dead Sea Salt I was surprised at first to find moisture! But then while I was perusing the NDA forums it is the brine from the sea salt that makes it seem a little soft to the touch. But sea water is just as ‘nutritious’ as the concentrated salt itself. Nice fine texture, perfect for homemade body polishes which is exactly what I plan to do with mine!
